Automatic sorting system

Automatic sorting system is an efficient logistics equipment that can quickly and accurately sort items by category or destination. It automatically identifies item information through barcode scanning, image recognition and other technologies, and cooperates with conveying equipment and sorting machinery to achieve automated operation. The system has strong processing capabilities, can greatly improve logistics efficiency, reduce labor costs, and is widely used in e-commerce, express delivery, warehousing and other industries. It is an indispensable key equipment in modern logistics centers, helping enterprises achieve intelligent and efficient operations.

    Description of Automatic Sorting System

Our company has independently developed and designed an automatic sorting system based on foreign logistics experience, which is an indispensable basic hardware for large and medium-sized logistics centers. The logistics center receives various goods from hundreds or thousands of suppliers or shippers through various transportation vehicles every day, unloads these goods in a short period of time, and quickly and accurately classifies them according to product varieties, shippers, storage locations, or shipping locations. These goods are transported to designated locations (such as designated warehouses, processing areas, shipping platforms, etc.). At the same time, when suppliers or shippers notify the logistics center to ship according to the delivery instructions, the automatic sorting system accurately finds the location of the goods from the warehouse in the shortest possible time, and delivers them out of the warehouse according to the required quantity. Different quantities of goods taken out from different storage locations are transported to different sorting areas or distribution platforms according to the distribution location for centralized loading and distribution.

Main features of automatic sorting system

    1. Can sort goods continuously and in large quantities: Due to the use of automated assembly line operation, the automatic sorting system is not limited by climate, time, human physical strength, etc., and can operate continuously. At the same time, due to the large number of sorted items per unit time, the automatic sorting system can sort 7000 packaged goods per hour. If manual labor is used, only about 150 items can be sorted per hour, and the sorting personnel cannot work continuously for 8 hours under this labor intensity.
    2. The sorting error rate is extremely low: the sorting error rate of the automatic sorting system mainly depends on the accuracy of the input sorting information, which in turn depends on the input mechanism of the sorting information. If manual keyboard or voice recognition is used for input, the error rate is above 3%. If barcode scanning is used for input, there will be no errors unless there are errors in the printing of the barcode itself. Therefore, currently automatic sorting systems mainly use barcode technology to identify goods.
    3. Can reduce the use of personnel. The sorting operation itself does not require personnel, and the use of personnel is limited to the following tasks:

    (1) When the delivery vehicle arrives at the receiving end of the automatic sorting line, it is manually picked up.

    (2) Manually control the operation of the sorting system.

    (3) At the end of the sorting line, the sorted goods are manually collected and loaded onto trucks.

    (4) Operation, management, and maintenance of automatic sorting systems.

    Composition of Automatic Sorting System

Automatic sorting systems generally consist of control devices, sorting devices, conveying devices, and sorting gates. The function of the control device is to recognize, receive, and process sorting signals, and instruct the classification device to automatically classify goods according to the requirements of the sorting signals, by product variety, by delivery location, or by the category of the shipper. These sorting requirements can be inputted into the sorting control system through various methods, such as barcode scanning, color code scanning, keyboard input, weight detection, height detection, and shape recognition. Based on the judgment of these sorting signals, it is determined which sorting gate a certain product should enter.

The function of the sorting device is to, based on the sorting instructions issued by the control device, activate the device when goods with the same sorting signal pass through it, causing it to change its direction of operation on the conveyor and enter other conveyors or sorting gates. There are many types of classification devices developed by Tianluoshun Company, generally including push out, floating, tilting, and branching types. Different devices have different requirements for sorting goods, such as packaging materials, packaging weight, and the smoothness of the bottom surface of the packaging.

The main component of the conveying device is the conveyor, which is mainly used to pass the sorted goods through the control device and classification device, and to connect several sorting gates on both sides of the conveying device, so that the sorted goods can slide down the main conveyor for subsequent operations.

The sorting gate is a passage for sorted goods to leave the main conveyor (or main conveyor belt) and enter the cargo collection area. It is generally composed of steel belts, belts, rollers, etc., which make the goods slide from the main conveyor device to the cargo collection platform. There, the staff will collect all the goods at the gate and either store them in the warehouse or assemble them into loading vehicles for distribution operations.

The above four devices are connected together through a computer network, and together with manual control and corresponding manual processing, form a complete automatic sorting system.

    Semi automatic sorting system

Due to space limitations, investment budget, and irregular packaging of goods, you may consider manually completing certain special tasks in the sorting system, such as product identification, statistical analysis, post picking packaging, inbound and outbound operations, etc.
